Privacy policy

SlopStamp analyses posts in your feed to decide whether to filter them. This page describes what we collect, what we keep, and for how long.

SlopStamp is operated by an independent developer as an individual, not by a company. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean that developer.

What the extension sends

The extension sends the post body to our API, along with the author's name, username, and profile link as shown on the page, and your filtering settings. It does not send images, video, or other media.

What the extension never does

• It never clicks, likes, comments, follows, or posts on your behalf.
• It never runs on sites other than LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.

What we store

We store the text of the posts we analyse and who wrote them, together with the model's response, and we keep it indefinitely. It is used to investigate filtering mistakes and to improve detection quality over time.

Alongside the text we keep the result of the analysis. We also store your account email, your filtering preferences, and your subscription state. Media is never stored.

This data is not public and is not sold or shared. It is readable only by our own service and by us when investigating a problem or building evaluation sets.

Feedback and post text

If you report a wrong decision, the report itself contains no post text. Reporting never requires handing over the post.

A separate, unchecked option lets you attach the post's text directly to the report, which makes the mistake easier to find among everything else we hold. Deleting the report removes that attached copy. We do not automatically train or tune models on what you submit.

Slop Check

Slop Check, the free tool on this website, sends the text you paste to an AI model provider to judge it. We do not store or log that text, and it is not added to the data described above. No account is involved.

To limit how many checks each visitor can run in a day, we count checks by internet address. We do not store the address itself, and the count is deleted at the end of each day (UTC).

Sharing a stamp

When you share a stamped post, the extension draws the image in your browser, and nothing about it is sent to us. The author's name and photo are never drawn, and people the post tags are blurred. The image does contain the post's text, so check it before you post it anywhere.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of third-party service providers to run SlopStamp. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service and processes it on our behalf.

• Hosting and database providers run our website and API and store the data described above.
• AI model providers analyse the text of each post to decide whether it matches your filter, and the text pasted into Slop Check.
• A privacy-focused analytics service counts page views on this website, without cookies or personal data. It does not run in the extension.
• A payment processor handles subscriptions. We never see or store your card details.
• Google provides sign-in. We receive your email address, not your password.

Google user data

From Google sign-in we use only your email address, to identify your account and to contact you about it. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or transfer it except to the service providers above as needed to run SlopStamp.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. SlopStamp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will also adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

All traffic between the extension, this website, and our API is encrypted over HTTPS. Our database provider encrypts stored data at rest, and database access rules limit each account to its own records. Access to stored data is restricted to our own service and to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your choices and rights

• Pause filtering at any time from the extension, with no account change.
• Turn off any platform individually, so nothing on it is read.
• Revoke any installed extension from your dashboard.
• Delete your account by emailing flamme.labs@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. This removes your profile, preferences, subscription record, and feedback within 30 days of your request. Analysis logs are unlinked from your account and retained in de-identified form for evaluation.
• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing the same address. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. For significant changes, such as collecting a new kind of data or using it for a new purpose, we will email you before the change takes effect.
